Commission Structure
Commission Rate: 15%
Commission Purpose Explanation for Artists: While most commercial galleries charge 40-60% commission (with high-end galleries often taking 50% or more), and even artist-friendly cooperatives usually charge 30-40%, Symmetry operates with a community-first model, taking only 15% to ensure artists retain the majority of their earnings. Even most nonprofit galleries typically charge 20-40% commission, making our 15% rate exceptionally artist-supportive across all gallery types.
How commission funds will be used: Commission proceeds directly fund future programming including mentorship initiatives, workshop facilitation, venue acquisition, and documentation projects that continue to elevate and support our artist community - essentially reinvesting your success back into creating more opportunities for emerging and established artists within our network.
